Introduction

FStateMan stands for The financial statement management system.
FStateMan downloads the electronic file (XBRL file) of financial statements submitted to the Financial Services Agency of Japan (EDINET), and then registers the downloaded XBRL files.

The XBRL file has a redundant file structure.
As a result, financial statements cannot be displayed easily and quickly.
FStateMan converts the XBRL file into financial statement format and registers it in the database.
This allows you to view and analyze financial statements instantly.

The financial statements will be presented in the same format as the submitted securities report.
Financial data is displayed as a time series data in a table or bar graph.
This allows you to intuitively predict the future financial condition of the company.
You can view financial data of multiple companies in parallel. (Displayed as a table or bar graph.)
In addition, you can display financial ratios such as operating profit margin for multiple companies in parallel.
The financial ratio is irrelevant to the size of the company and is suitable for comparing the financial status of multiple companies.

You can view the text information of the submitted documents as a PDF file.
You can refer to detailed information such as notes of securities report and segment information.
The registered financial data can be output to a csv file.
This makes it easy to process financial data.

Library folder structure

The library folder consists of the following two folders.

[Note]
Since the library folder consists entirely of character string files, setting the compression attribute for this folder will save disk space.
It takes about half the space.

Database folder

This folder contains files created by FStateMan.
Financial data for each company is stored in this folder.

Taxonomy folder

EDINET taxonomy files are stored in this folder.
The taxonomy referenced when registering the XBRL file is automatically copied from the EDINET site to a local folder.
If the referenced taxonomy file exists locally, use that local file.

[Note]
When EDINET server is congested, the taxonomy file may not be able to be acquired normally from the server.
In such cases, we recommend downloading the taxonomy files directly from the EDINET site and copying them to a local folder.
